Development Applications

We are responsible for the approval of all development (as defined in the South Bank Corporation Act 1989) within the Corporation area that relates to:

Making a Material Change of Use of Premises

This application is for developers who would like to either request approval for a new development in the precinct, or to amend existing development approval. Please complete Development Application Form 1 and Material Change of Use Application Form.

Reconfiguring a South Bank Lot

If you are a developer and have had approval for a new development in the precinct, please complete Development Application Form 1 and the Reconfiguring a South Bank Lot Application Form to enable the transfer of land title or reconfiuration of a lot.

Carrying out Operational Work

For developers carrying out major works in the precinct, for example excavation, or clearing of vegetation, please complete Development Application Form 1 and the Operational Work Application Form.

No development may commence within the Corporation area unless we have determined it is in accordance with the Approved Development Plan (ADP) and has approved a development application.
